Beer

Ever since the Pilgrims made their hasty landing at Plymouth Rock due to their "victuals being much spent" - especially their dwindling supply of beer - the love of brew has been a trait of the American people. Predating the new republic, breweries sprung up among the earliest new world settlements, and many of the founding fathers were in fact brewmasters. Even George Washington had a brew house on his Mt. Vernon estate and among his archived papers is his 1757 handwritten beer recipe.

Today, the love of beer is everywhere. Don't believe it, just tune in network or basic cable tv and watch a few commercials. The vast majority of time, they cater to demand, and beer commercials seek out the desire, the need, for beer that percolates within so many. Beer drinkers seem to be fairly well divided between those immensely loyal to a specific brand and those always seeking out the new, better brew, in part explaining the explosion of so many hundreds of successful micro-brews.

But whether it's the Bud or the Coors Light or the MGD, or whether it's Dead Guy Ale or Road Dog Porter, the beer lover can do little else through the work day than think about quitting time, kicking back, and opening that first tall, cool one. Well, beer lover, cater to your basis needs, spread your love of the brew to your financial activities, pay for your next six-pack with a selection from your new A Cold One Personal Checks.
